Colfeed4print
COLFEED4Print is a startup originated as a spin-off of the Instituto de Ceramica y Vidrio (Institute for Ceramic and Glass (ICV), CSIC), It was created to develop printing solutions to functionalizing materials for 3D printing by the incorporation of a high content of inorganic particles. To achieve that, wethey use the technology licensed to CSIC that was invented by most of the founders.
The company commercializes granules, pellets and filaments used in melting extrusion techniques of 3D printing. It has in the catalog three main lines of products. (i) The Filament-Oss with the incorporation of osteoinductive compounds (magnesium or Hydroxyapatite) for bone reparation; (ii) the Filament-Eco with the incorporation of nanoparticles to provide electro and photocatalitic activity (Graphene, ZnO, TiO2) and (iii) the line Filament-Cer consist onof composite materials with high content of ceramic particles (ZrO2, Al2O3, WC-Ni) that, after printing can be sintered to achieve a 100% ceramic. In this line also is included the material with carbon fibers. Under demand, the company develops “a la carte” products with the particles and compositions provided by the customers. Additionally, it has a printing service to provide the customers with pieces printed with the functionalized products it develops.
